Stephanie Bryson Named JPS Librarian of the Year

After more than two decades of dedicated service at McWillie Elementary, Mrs. Stephanie Bryson has been named Jackson Public Schools’ Librarian of the Year. She was recently recognized for this achievement while surrounded by fellow librarians and her family.

Mrs. Bryson earned this honor for her visionary leadership, passion for literature, and unwavering commitment to scholar achievement. Known for her strong literacy programming and impressive circulation numbers, she continues to create engaging, innovative experiences that inspire a love of reading. She also played a key role in launching the 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten initiative for Pre-K and Montessori scholars, helping foster early literacy from the very beginning.

For over 20 years, Mrs. Bryson has cultivated a vibrant library environment where books come alive, learning is encouraged, and scholars are inspired to explore the world through reading.
